1. Data We Collect

FlavorAI is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not require accounts and we collect minimal data:

• Health Data: Blood sugar logs, health goals (diabetes, blood pressure), and optional health stats. Stored ONLY on your device. Never uploaded to our servers.
• Recipe Data: Recipes you generate, save, or favorite are stored ONLY on your device. The ingredients and preferences you enter are sent for AI processing when you generate a recipe (see Section 3).
• Photos: When you scan ingredients, the photo you choose is sent over an encrypted connection for AI analysis to identify ingredients, then discarded. Photos are not stored on our servers or linked to your identity.
• Voice Input: Voice input uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to transcribe ingredients in real time. Audio is not recorded, stored, or uploaded by us.
• Location: Used only while you search for nearby restaurants. Not stored and never used for advertising.
• Apple Health Data: Optional. With your permission, the app reads blood glucose to display alongside your meals and writes estimated carbs and sodium from meals you log. This data is exchanged only between the app and Apple Health on your device. Never sent to our servers.

2. Data Storage

• Your personal data is stored locally on your device.
• We do not maintain user accounts or databases of user data.
• We do not sell data to third parties.

3. AI Recipe Generation

When you generate a recipe or scan ingredients, your request is sent over an encrypted connection through our server to an AI provider (Anthropic's Claude). These requests:

• Contain only the ingredients, preferences, and (if Health Mode is enabled) health requirements needed to generate your recipe
• Do NOT contain your name, contact details, or any account identifier
• Are not stored or logged by us
• Are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) subject to its own data handling policies, and are not used to train AI models

4. Subscriptions

Your subscription is managed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive, collect, or store payment information.

5. Your Rights

Since we do not store your personal data on our servers:

• California residents (CCPA): We hold no personal data about you to access, delete, or sell.
• EU residents (GDPR): Your data stays on your device, under your control.
• All users: You can delete individual logs and recipes in the app, revoke camera, microphone, location, notification, or Apple Health permissions in iOS Settings, and remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the app.

6. Children

FlavorAI includes kid-friendly recipe features intended for use by parents and caregivers. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Medical Disclaimer

FlavorAI provides AI-estimated nutritional values for general guidance only. It is not medical advice. Always consult your doctor or a registered dietitian before making dietary changes for diabetes, high blood pressure, or any other medical condition.
